HR’s Role in Promoting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
In
recent years, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become a crucial
component of organizational success, and the Human Resource (HR) function plays

sustainability and ethics ensure employees understand and embody the

emerging SHRM theories, suggesting that organizations should integrate CSR as a
core competency to enhance their reputation and create long-term value.
However,
some academic debates highlight the complexity of implementing CSR in global
organizations due to varying cultural expectations and regulatory standards
(Jamali et al., 2017). HR departments in multinational companies must navigate
these complexities, ensuring that CSR initiatives are both culturally relevant
and globally consistent. By fostering a collaborative and inclusive approach,
HR can address these challenges and contribute to a cohesive global CSR
strategy.
In
conclusion, HR plays a pivotal role in promoting CSR, from policy development
and training to global strategy alignment. By fostering a culture that values
